16-730 Flow-thru Oxygen Electrode with 1/16" Fittings
16-730 Flow-thru Oxygen Electrode with 1/16" Fittings
These miniature electrodes are ideal for monitoring oxygen in a continuous flow such as water, blood, urine, physiologic fluids, etc. They feature fast response and require less than a drop. Each microelectrode is supplied with 6 assembled membranes and a bottle of electrolyte solution.

CALIBRATION
Depending on the instrument being used, calibration is usally done by normailzing a straight line with two know O2 concnetrations. Pure nitrogen for a zero point and ambient (20.9%) for a higher point. This can be the dry gas or disolved in a liquid
CLEANING
Using any electrode in solutions containing protein requires the electrode be rinsed with an enzyme cleaning solution.
After each use, we recommend cleaning our electrodes with Terg-a-zyme (Alconox, Inc.) by submerging the electrodes for a couple of minutes in order to remove all protein.
This will prolong the useful life of the electrodes.
STORAGE
Always clean the microelectrode before storing:
- Rinse and clean the flow-cell. The membrane can be left in place to place to protect the glass tip
